How to Clean Buffy Comforter
Using baking soda and a microfiber cloth, spot clean the areas on your Buffy Cloud Comforter that need cleaning. If your comforter needs deeper cleaning beyond what spot cleaning offers, it’s recommended to use a cold machine wash with a gentle laundry detergent.
When cleaning higher end fabrics, it is always best to use caution! With a few simple steps and minimal supplies you can safely clean your Buffy Cloud Comforter. Follow the below cleaning guide to restore your comforter back to brand new.
Supplies Needed:
Spot Clean
Buffy highly recommends using spot cleaning as the primary cleaning treatment for their comforters. In a bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1/4 cup of warm water. Using a microfiber cleaning cloth and soak it into the baking soda mixture. Ring out the cloth so it is damp but not soaked. Using this damp cloth, wipe the areas on the comforter that need cleaning. Rinse out the microfiber cloth with warm water and continue to clean the affected areas. Repeat this process until you get a desired end result and until all the baking soda mixture is removed.
Washing Machine Clean
If the spot treatment is not giving you the results you are looking for, you can also utilize your washing machine for a deep clean. Buffy recommends using a cold machine wash with a gentle laundry detergent. Once washed, lay the Buffy Cloud Comforter flat to air dry or hang dry. Do not put the comforter in the dryer.
Buffy also strongly recommends using a duvet cover over top of your Cloud Comforter to protect it from getting dirty. Duvet covers can be washed regularly in a cold machine wash and also can be put in the dryer on a low setting.
Things To Avoid
It is essential that you avoid bleach based cleaning products. If using the washing machine to wash your comforter, do not put your comforter in the dryer. Hang drying the comforter is highly recommended!
