chazzed banger

Introduction: what is a chazzed banger?

A banger is the glass piece on a dab rig that you put oil into. Quartz is usually used for bangers because it can withstand high temperature. Once heated, the oil vaporizes and goes through the neck of your rig before getting inhaled through a mouthpiece.

From there, inhale the dab vapor and voila, you get high. The banger is also called a dab nail.

A “chazzed banger” is a dirty dab nail, which means that it is burnt on the surface. This usually happens when you are constantly over-torching your dab nail and burning it – or when you don’t clean the bowl after each use, so there’s leftover residue.

Over time, all the stuff you have laid on top of your rig will really start to pile up. It’ll turn into a dark brown/black-colored banger that will look a lot like how truck stop restrooms always look.

Why is a chazzed banger bad?

Dabbing oil is expensive. It would be a waste of money if you aren’t getting the experience that you should be having when smoking weed.

Oil Company XYZ may be trying to sell you solventless hash but when they sent you the dab puck, they were not trying to get you to smoke it on top of old, hardened goo.

A chazzed banger can alter the way your oil tastes, as well as make it more harsh in vapor. It’s also more likely that you’ll cough for ten minutes after taking a hit.

What to do if you have left over weed in a chazzed banger?

If you want to reuse your banger, you should clean it out first. You can use a lighter or a match to burn off any remaining weed. If there is residue left over, you can use a metal pipe cleaner or paper towel to wipe the inside of the banger.

The most important thing is that you make sure that it is completely dry before using it again.

How to clean your banger after a wild night

A chazzed banger is a type of pipe that is used to smoke marijuana concentrate known as dabs, but you probably knew that. When a banger becomes “chazzed” you should take the time to clean your banger. There are two ways to clean it: the traditional way and the modern way.

The traditional way is as follows:

1) Take a lighter and heat up the bowl of the banger until it becomes red hot. This will burn away any residue left on the inside of the pipe and make it easier for you to clean with water later on. We do not generally recommend this method because it can shorten the life of your quartz pipe.

The modern way is better for your chazzed banger long-term:

2) Fill up a sink with water and mix in some dish soap or alcohol. Place your banger in this mixture for about 10 minutes, then remove from water and scrub off any residue with your fingers or a toothbrush

3) Rinse off your banger with fresh water, dry it off, then pack it back up for next time

4) If you have time, allow your banger to air-dry before packing it away

5) Place pipe back

Maintenance recommendations

Of course, there’s maintenance involved with a chazzed banger. Here are some tips on cleaning one:

  • Firstly, do not overheat the cauldron. Overheating would result in irreparable scars and burn marks.

  • Cleaning anything with a cylindrical form will require the use of Q-tips. Their thin design is perfect for reaching deep down into such shapes and getting rid of dirt & dust.

  • One easy way to fix a stuck cotton tip is to soak it in alcohol and salt, as well as try immersing it in rubbing alcohol if the brush still won’t move. If that doesn’t work, then you might have burnt some oils off of your pot before.
