How To Clean White Ugg Slippers

First things first, every season is Ugg season. If you are wearing your Uggs all year round, chances are that they will need a thorough cleaning. With a few simple supplies and intentional thought, you can clean your Uggs in a way that will keep them safe and bring them back to looking brand new .

How To Clean White Ugg Slippers

Because of the suede and sheepskin fabric and the glue adhesive used to construct Uggs, there is a particular way that these slippers need to be cleaned. Using a damp sponge and a special Ugg-specific cleaner you can easily clean the surface of your Uggs and bring them back to like-new condition.

Supplies Needed:

Exterior Clean

Using a damp sponge lightly moisten the outer fabric of the Ugg slipper. Apply a small amount of Ugg Cleaner and Conditioner to the damp sponge and gently rub onto the exterior of the Ugg. Continue this process 1-2 times until any stains or unwanted marks on the Ugg are removed.

Rinse your sponge with cold water. Ring out a majority of the sponge water and then use the damp sponge to remove the cleaner and conditioner from the Ugg.

Allow the Uggs to fully dry for 24 hours. Once fully dry, use the brush and magic Ugg eraser  and gently comb over the surface of the Ugg exterior to restore the fabric back to its original texture.

Finally, use Protector Spray to treat the exterior fabric moving forward. Spray a light coating of spray onto the entire exterior fabric of the Ugg slipper. Allow the slipper to dry for 1-2 hours prior to wearing.

Interior Clean

Use small amount of dish soap and mix in bowl with warm water. Using small soft brush, dip it in the soap mixture. Using circular motion rub moistened softbrush into the soft inside of the slipper. Continue until the entire inside of the slipper has been washed. Once washed, use lightly moistened microfiber towel and wipe throughout the inside of the slipper.

Allow inside of the slipper to fully dry (24 hours). Finally, insert Ugg Shoe Freshener into slippers to eliminate any lingering odors.

Things To Avoid

It is essential that you avoid submerging or soaking your Uggs. Soaking suede, sheepskin and the rubber-like outsole of the slipper will only damage your Uggs. Avoid using any type of bleach based cleaning product on your white slipper as the bleach could also harm the Ugg fabric. Finally, avoid putting your Uggs in the washing machine/ dryer. This process will ruin the glue adhesive used to construct the slipper!
