How to clean Novo X Air Sensor
The Novo X sensor has a replaceable filter that needs to be cleaned on a regular basis. Remove any remaining liquid from the inside of the tank by tapping the device gently on a hard surface. Wipe down the Novo X air sensor with a damp cloth to remove any dirt, dust, and other particles.
Steps To Cleaning a Novo X Air Sensor:
Turn off the Novo X by pressing the power button on the top of the unit for 3-5 seconds.
Remove any remaining liquid from the inside of the tank by tapping the unit gently on a hard surface.
Unscrew the tank from your Novo X air sensor and discard of it properly in order to avoid any potential environmental hazards or health risks.
Wipe down all surfaces of your Novo X air sensor with a damp cloth or paper towel in order to remove dirt, dust, and other particles.
How do you clean the airflow on a Novo x?
The airflow on the Novo X can become dirty over time if it is not properly cleaned.
Once your pod is empty, you can clear the excess e-liquid out of the airflow chimney by blowing firmly through the mouthpiece while holding a paper towel over the end of the mouthpiece.
Can you adjust the airflow on Novo X?
The Novo X has a U-shaped air hole in the side of each pod. The hole draws air into the device through the side, through the bottom of the pod, and straight to your mouth.
However, each pod has a different draw. The 1.4 0hm MTL pod has a tight draw. On the other hand, the 1.0-ohm pod has a looser draw. If you prefer a tighter draw, we recommend that you choose the 1.4-ohm pod.
The airflow is not adjustable on the Smok Novo X vape, so the pod you choose will determine the type of draw, either tight or loose.
Where is the airflow for Smok Novo X?
The Novo X has a “U-shaped airflow.” This means that air is drawn in through the sides of the pod and then back out through the hole at the bottom.
There are a couple of different draw styles in each of the included pods, but the differences are minimal. The 1.4ohm pod is tighter, suitable for mouth-to-lung draws. The 1.0ohm pod has a looser draw and is also suited towards MTL use. If you prefer a tighter draw, you will probably like the 1.4ohm pods and if you prefer a slightly airier draw, the 1.0ohm pods are likely more suitable for your preference.
The Novo X is air-restricted. That said, they’re perfect for MTL vaping and are also wide enough that you don’t have to struggle with a restrictive draw.

The Novo X has a larger battery of 800mAh and outputs 6-25W, compared to the original which only outputs 16W. You also get a higher output of 6-25W compared to the 16W of the original version.
How long does a SMOK Novo X last?
The pods of this device live up to their long-lasting promises. Each pod lasts at least 1 week and some even last 2 weeks before they start to lose flavor.
Why does my Novo X taste burnt?
It tastes burnt because the part of your vaporizer that soaks up e-liquid (aka “wick”) has dried out and burned up. The wick inside your atomizer coil needs to be replaced. Here is a great visual guide on how to do so.
How do I clean my Novo X pod?
- Start with a large bowl filled with very hot water. There’s no need to overheat it because the plastic in your pods can melt if the water is too hot.
- After you open the pod’s filling hole, take off its coil. Place both pieces in a bowl of clean water. Note that vape pods will be able to float due to their shape and size. You may need to hold them down in order for the liquid to get inside which ultimately releases all their flavors and nicotine into the bowl. It’ll be difficult to clean the pod if it isn’t submerged.
- Swish the pods and coil in the water to break them up and allow the residue to come off. Swish these around a bit more before leaving them to soak again. At this point, you will probably see some dark flecks floating in the water or inside the pod. These are often from the oils and filters within the pod breaking down with use.
- Empty the bowl and add more hot water. Retwist the pod every few minutes to break up residue on the coil. When black flecks no longer appear in the water, it’s clean. If you’re using a pod with a built-in coil, you may need to rinse the pod under the faucet to force some of the flecks out.
- Remove the pod and coil from the water. Tap the pod against a paper towel to remove most of the water. Allow it to air dry for a few hours before you resume using them
